Dear Unity Friends, Peggy Pifer wrote, "With every prayer, we touch the presence of God." Isn't that a comforting thought? In
Unity, we believe that God's presence is with us always. When we feel separate from God, it is our awareness of that wonderful presence that is missing.
As we commit and follow through on spending time in prayer and meditation, that holy presence becomes more than something esoteric that we sometimes talk about and often yearn for. It becomes an
experience that is real and almost physically tangible. Facing the day-to-day challenges of life from this place of being prayed-up or filled-up on the Presence,
we are calmer, kinder, and respond to people and situations with a gentle, trusting faith that everything is
going to work out. From the prayed-up hilltop, we can view our life with a broader lens. We can see the
spiritual viewpoint. Life is more enjoyable and flows more easily. Prayer time with God stablizes us and we then don't feel so harried and overwhelmed.
This week, try tapping into the presence of God by spending ten extra minutes in prayer. If you don't pray at all, this is an opportunity to begin a prayer practice
. If you already have a regular schedule of attuning to Spirit in the private prayer closet of your heart, I invite you to add ten minutes for a week and feel yourself lifted spiritually higher.
I will be waiting to hear your results. I invite you to write me with your discoveries. Namaste` Robin
