By Rev. Robin Volker In Dottie Billington's little book, Life is an Attitude, she talks of a ritual between her and
her husband. They begin each day and subsequent meeting with a few minutes of sweetness and good humor. She says, "A good beginning sets the tone for the rest of
the day. Even when, occasionally, we awaken feeling bombarded with problems, we make it a point to start out serenely and wait until later to talk about the negative stuff."
This ritual works for marriage partners, business partners, friends and family members. This week, let's try it! - all of us! Let's begin each encounter with a smile, genuine
appreciation for the other person, good humor, careful listening, and interest in what the other person has to say. Let's see if we can have a positive impact on our relationships
by changing the first three minutes (that's about the length of your favorite song) of each personal encounter we have this week. Write me and let me know how it works for you.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"We awaken in others the same attitude of mind we hold toward them." Elbert Hubbard
AFFIRMATION All the sweetness and love I send out returns to me as sweetness and love.
