Hello Unity Friends, "Have you ever prayed and had your prayers answered, only
to have the same old condition try to flare up again later? If so, that is the time to stand firm by believing in and accepting only your new good." This inspirational teaching comes
to us from our friend, Rev. Catherine Ponder. Catherine reminds us that "The problem that tried to flare up again can suddenly be gone forever --- but only if you hold your peace about
it." What she means by this statement is that if we refuse to get upset when the old problem reappears in our lives, it will lose its energy and fade away. As long as we give our energy to
what we don't want, we will only attract more of it. Scripturally, we find this demonstrated in the Hebrews' exodus from Egypt. When they saw the
Egyptians pursuing them as they approached the sea, they became very critical of Moses. But Moses
was strong and steadfast in his faith. He would have none of their criticism, doubt, or fear. "Fear not,
stand still. See the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for you this day." (Exodus 14:13)
As we seek to create new conditions in our lives, let us "Fear not" and "stand still." Let us get quiet and
stay away from the fervor of the situation. Let us retreat into that quiet space where peace can return to
our minds. And then, let us "See the salvation of the Lord." In our quiet space, let us believe in and declare complete deliverance.
If we dare to stand firm in our belief in the new condition we have created, accepting only our good, the old, worn-out problems may try to
reappear, but they will not be welcomed in our lives. They will lose their grip on us and fade away. Namaste` Robin |
