One of the well known teachings of Jesus is, "Seek first the kingdom of God and all else shall be added
unto you." That idea is as relevant today as it was when Jesus walked the planet. What does this mean
to you? For me, it means to put God first in our lives. We do this when we are consistent in our spiritual
practices, centered in peace, appreciating the good, releasing attachments and affirming that all is well.
It is a tall order, yet when we can do this, even if we do it poorly, then life can be a joyous adventure. The
"seeking of the kingdom" is not about us getting it "right." It is about our willingness to stay on the path,
to move along the journey. The promise that Jesus made tells us that all that we desire will be ours if we stay focused on our connection with God.
As we pray for one another, we envision the Christ light shining from within us, guiding our spiritual path
and all the decisions of our week. We trust that Spirit will lead us to health and wholeness, wisdom and security, peace, prosperity and abundant joy.
Know that as you let your light shine, you are blessed and you are a blessing.
