Dear Unity Friends,

During an unusually wet season, a farmer in a small town in Ohio lost half his soybean crop.  As he walked through his fields surveying the terrible scene of drowned plants, he came upon an unusual plant that  stood firm and well among the other plants.

The farmer was shocked by its size.  As he examined it, he found it contained 202 soybean pods.  When he opened them, he counted out 503 beans.  This was an extraordinary number for one plant to produce.

He took the beans home and place them in a pan to dry, where he kept them through the winter.  When spring came, he planted the beans in a small plot behind his house.  By October, his 503 soybeans had produced a harvest of 32 pounds of new beans.

Encouraged by the production of his new harvest, he began searching for a larger plot of land.  He found a one-acre piece of ground and planted his 32 pounds of beans on it.  When October arrived, he marveled to discover that those 32 pounds of beans produced another extraordinary harvest of 2409 pounds of beans!

The farmer was ecstatic, but his harvest was outgrowing his land.  All he had available was a 68-acre plot.  He planted all 2409 pounds of it.

The following October, just three years after harvesting the 503 beans from that single plant, he was again amazed to harvest an astonishing 2100 bushels, which equaled 126,000 pounds!

Does this not exemplify God's principle of abundance at work?  How similar is this story to the story of growth for Unity in Community?  From humble, small beginnings our ministry here in Ohio continues to grow and expand.  This month we launch into the plan of expansion for our next right and perfect meeting place.  Our spiritual community has grown.  We wish to offer more services to our spiritual family and to the Delaware community.  Please be in prayer with us as we move forward to find the next home for Unity in Community.  As always, your continued prayer and financial support means so much.
