Living from Greatness

The pure energy of creation is great.  No matter which culture, religion, or origin you study, there is agreement that the creative energy that brings forth all life is simply "great."   Our growth process begins when we realize that we, too, are a part of creation and we, too, are great.  Accepting this to be true can be a huge hurdle for many.  When life isn't going the way we would like, it is difficult to embrace the idea of our own greatness.   Yet it is this act of seeing our greatness that shifts the external world around us.

We struggle with the idea of our greatness and often feel we have to earn worthiness before God.   This creates striving and struggles.  No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to create enough value with material and worldly creations to validate our true nature.   What we need to realize is that our true nature does not need validation. It is pure, complete, perfect, and beautiful.   It is great.   To believe this is not arrogant.   To believe this honors that which created us.

We discover our greatness during meditative moments when we connect with Creator.  .   We find our greatness when we connect with the Source of all Greatness.  We may call that Source God, Tao, Universal Mind, Creator, or Infinite One.   A Course in Miracles says, "An untrained mind can accomplish nothing."  The training of our thoughts to be God-thoughts occurs in meditation.   When we meditate, our brains literally emit different brain waves.   We change at a molecular level by quieting the chatter and turning within.

This week, we open our minds to the idea of our greatness.   We begin to look for evidence that life is a wonderful experience, regardless of the details that might be active in this particular moment.   God is in experience with us, and we are in experience with God in each moment.   And that experience with, of, and as God is what makes life great.
