In the section on Palm Sunday and Holy Week in A Course in Miracles, it states, "This
week begins with palms and ends with lilies, the white and holy sign the Son of God is innocent." (Text 396/425) Beginning with palms means it begins with the celebration of
victory; ending with lilies is a symbol of the transformation of Easter. Something wonderful is about to happen this week. We are to be expectant.
The victory of Palm Sunday is about our victory over the world. We are victorious whenever we figure out how the world works and use that to accomplish our worldly
goals. We are victorious when we identify thoughts, actions, and habits that no longer serve us. We are victorious when we claim and assert our dominion over ego
consciousness. This is a process of growth and understanding. Our Holy Week experience can be several years, sometimes several decades, in the making.
The lilies stand for the "white and holy sign the Son of God is innocent." Once we achieve a higher level of victorious mastery, moving beyond
worldly, material victories to more inner, spiritual ones, we move into a level of absolute innocence, purity, and holiness. The beautiful white lily
symbolizes the letting go of the world's many goals for the single goal of resurrecting the Christ Spirit within us where our innocence and peace are the true reality.
This week expect a transformation in your life. Expect more than worldly victory. Expect to find and experience the inner peace of God. This
is a promised transformation from the victory of palms to the peace of lilies.
Happy Easter,
Robin
