Come share my joy
As I behold you. You are a miracle, God light enfolds you. All that you are, Makes my heart rise. I am illumined
By the joy in your eyes. When I first heard Fred Bogert's "Come Share My Joy," I felt something stir inside of me. Those
powerful affirmations struck deep in my heart. Was I the giver or the receiver of these beautiful
words? Why, both, of course! I stopped to ponder the feelings in me as I listened to Fred sing the words again and again, embracing the thought of me as a miracle and relishing in the idea of me
making another's heart sing. Could it be true that another's life could be illumined by my joy? And, then I thought of those I love and how, yes, indeed, their inner light, their illumined
Christ-expressing does bring this feeling of shared joy. The song's meaning deepened as I thought of each loved one, past and present, wishing to reach through space and time and caress each one
with the now seeming lullaby. For this coming Sunday, we light the rose colored candle in our Advent wreath and sing "Come Share My Joy!" Won't you join us on Sunday, in person in Delaware or in your heart? To listen to Fred Bogert's music, follow this link, www.FredBogert.com. Wishing you hope, peace, and joy in this Advent season,
Rev. Robin
