Affirmation
My dedication to my  practice of prayer keeps me centered in God.  By turning to prayer, I allow God to support me in my life and all that I do.

Scripture
And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up to the mountain by himself to pray.  When the evening came, he was there alone.

• Centering Prayer is not an end in itself, but a beginning. 
   
• This method of prayer is designed to turn off the ordinary flow of thoughts that reinforces our habitual way of thinking.
   
• Our centering word becomes our sacred word.  If it a symbol of our intention to open ourselves to the mystery of God's presence in our lives.
