The 32nd Verse of the Tao Te ChingThe eternal Tao has no name. Although simple and subtle, No one in the world can master it. If kings and lords could harness them,
The 10,000 things would naturally obey, Heaven and earth would rejoice With the dripping of sweet dew. Everyone would live in harmony, Not by official decree, But by their own goodness. I invite you to think about what this excerpt means to you. Wayne Dyer writes in Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life, "The Tao is the supreme reality, an all-pervasive Source of everything. The
Tao never begins or ends, does nothing, and yet animates everything in the world of form and boundaries, which is called, 'the world of 10,000 things.'"
No one or no thing can rein in the power and creativity of the Tao. It is "sweet and subtle," yet responsible for all life.
Imagine, if you will, what life would be like if we could just live and breathe the Tao? No wars, no famines, no conflicts,
none of our other negative human emotions would be necessary to create chaos and drama in the world. We would be riding along on the creative energy of all that is.
Pause right here. Yes, right here in the middle of your day and your work. Pause…look and listen for the energy of the
Tao all around you and in you. Pay attention to the flow of life. You don't have to force it or be in charge of it. You can't
control it. Just notice it. What is happening around you? What is happening within you? Flow with the Tao in everything you do. Don't
push the stream of life. Put yourself right in the middle of the Tao's flow and life will be effortless. All those things around you will continue
without your direction and interference. People, weather, traffic, the stock exchange are taking place at their own pace and from the energy
that moves within them. Turn your focus back to your life. Enjoy its beauty. Relish in your own creativity. Embrace the Tao in you. Be it…now.
